Problem
Sports events are meant for people to enjoy the real action. But most people loose tons of time in long queues to grab a snack or a drink from the bar, sometimes missing the initial whistle or the restart after the halftime. That is causing stress among sports events attendees that could be enjoying the show instead of waiting for their turn.
Solution
A service that allow sports events enthusiasts to order food, drinks, or even merchandise from their seat, quickly and easily with no extra charges. The service involved creating an integrated system that allowed the public to order but also the staff to prepare and deliver orders as soon as possible. Visually, everything had to be very straightforward from the fans that want to order but don't want to waste much time on their phone and also for the staff that is preparing the food and delivering it to have the right information at the right time to perform the delivery as quick as possible.
Challenges
The environment where a user is going to use Seat Delivery ain't nothing like many other food ordering services being the typical scenario sitting at the couch or at the desk searching, filtering, etc. Users will be watching the game and ordering should be as straightforward as possible. The less you need to look at the screen, the better.
We concluded that a kitchen is a very stressful place at these type of venue. There's thousands of people in queues at the same time others will be ordering for delivery. Everything needs to be very loud and clear so the error margin is very low. In the ideal scenario, kitchen staff just needs to press a button when it's ready.
Seat Delivery is meant to be a white label product. It needs to adapt to any other sports venue and be branded as the resident club. When it's sold to another club, we should be able to adapt the branding in a few steps.
